Ruijie Networks releases the simplified Ethernet all-optical 4.0 solution for partners
Recently, the EBG (China) Core Partner Conference of Ruijie Networks was held. At the conference, Huang Zan, General Manager of the Wireless Switching Product Division of Ruijie Networks EBG, officially released the Minimalist Ethernet All-Optical 4.0 solution to partners. This release is not only an iterative upgrade of technology, but also a precise response to the pain points of customers' actual scenarios, bringing new possibilities for network construction in various industries.

Five years of hard work, just to bring a simpler network solution
Since the innovative "Ethernet All-Optical Network" architecture was proposed in 2021, Ruijie Network has always been focusing on the actual scene adaptation needs of campus network customers and continuously iterating and upgrading:
Minimalist Optical 1.0: To solve the network adaptation problem under the rapid growth of business, the "Ethernet All-Optical Network" architecture was first proposed.
Minimalist Optical 2.0: To solve the management problems and security risks brought by the active weak current room, wavelength division technology was introduced into the campus and the Ethernet color optical architecture was launched.
Minimalist Light 3.0: To solve the maintenance and operation troubles and space occupation problems caused by the core side ports and combiners, we took the lead in integrating wavelength division technology with switches and launched super-aggregated switches.
Minimalist Light 3.X: To solve the dual challenges of Wi-Fi 7 adaptation and power supply, we launched color light modules + centralized power supply technology that supports 2.5G.
Now, with the dual support of cutting-edge technology and customer co-creation, version 4.0 has achieved all-round improvement in architecture, operation and maintenance, and scene adaptation, pushing "minimalism" to a new height.

Through on-site investigations and repeated verifications, and in conjunction with industry experts, Minimalist Ethernet All-Optical 4.0 has finally been officially released to everyone." Three major innovative upgrades, further simplifying optical network connections
High-density optical path 1:16 color optical technology architecture is more "simple"
Since 2022, the minimalist Ethernet all-optical solution has been upgraded to a color optical architecture. This innovative solution has quickly won the favor of many industry customers, and Ethernet color optical has gradually become the mainstream choice for the construction of campus all-optical networks. The minimalist optical 4.0 solution continues to maintain the all-optical two-layer architecture, and on the basis of passive maintenance-free operation in the weak current room, it has doubled the port density of a single device. Currently, the color optical modules of other solutions on the market support single-port 1:4 or dual-port 2:16. The newly launched color optical module of minimalist optical 4.0 supports single-port 1:16. While doubling the density, the size of the module remains unchanged. The port carrying capacity of a single hyper-aggregated core switch is doubled to support 1,408 room accesses, bringing higher efficiency and flexibility to campus network construction.
End-to-end color fiber single-fiber deployment is simpler
Due to the 1:16 high-density color fiber, the trunk fiber occupancy is halved, reducing the complexity and cost of trenching and cable laying. Secondly, the minimalist optical 4.0 solution realizes the single-fiber interconnection of network elements in the entire network, and the network elements are automatically interconnected without manual intervention. While reducing the amount of wiring, it also reduces the complexity of construction, and the fiber fusion construction is halved. The single-fiber design improves reliability and greatly reduces the time and resource investment required for construction troubleshooting.
Optical link diagnostic capability upgrade makes operation and maintenance simpler
Minimalist Optical 4.0 not only simplifies the connection, but also further improves the efficiency of maintenance and operation. Optical link diagnosis is constantly strengthened, and multi-dimensional management capabilities are innovated. For example, if there are too many deployed devices and you can't find their locations, you can use the "electronic bitmap" to check the distribution of the entire network equipment and whether the connection path of the equipment is normal; if the fault cannot be found, you can use link detection to quickly define the fault; if it is impossible to go to the site for operation and maintenance or if the operation and maintenance experience is insufficient, the management platform can realize remote diagnosis of the optical path.
